Grand Harbour Marina is superbly served by a range of shoreside amenities and facilities to make yachtsmen, their guests and crew as welcome and comfortable as possible.
Top facilities for visitors and crew
Several restaurants and wine bars as well as the internationally famed Casino di Venezia can be found on the quayside right by the marina. There are shops and a supermarket to cater for the everyday fresh essentials and for many of life’s luxuries. And a number of yacht chandleries are within easy reach.
The historic waterfront buildings, dating back to the Knights of St John in the 16th Century, also house the marina’s modern nerve centre, the Capitainerie (open 24/7). Adjoined to this are the washrooms and launderette, all recently reappointed to a luxury standard while retaining the building’s architectural charm.
Malta has many attractions beyond the marina’s immediate vicinity (see the Local Activities section for more information) and getting around the island is easy by bus, taxi or hire car. Health facilities on the island are first class, and the general hospital, private hospitals, clinics and pharmacies are all close by.
